Modern Japanese

As one of our country’s closest urban neighbours, we’ve created a space that’s an authentic nod to Japan’s incredible craftsmanship and smart, uncomplicated interiors. Nature features strongly in our Japanese space, through the use of richly toned timber, stone in wet areas and dark, muted furnishings to complement the space. The minimalist design features an abundance of concealed storage and open-plan spaces divided with slatted screen grids and elegant parquetry floors. Our Japanese Space offers a sense of calm and warm simplicity.

Our Japanese-inspired kitchen area features dual spaces but remains open and uncluttered so you can move seamlessly from the functional kitchen to the clean-lined lounge. Generous storage capacity is cleverly concealed behind the beautiful porcelain clad doors applied across the kitchen and entertainment cabinetries. Exactly like natural marble, each sheet of those porcelain panels has appealing veining patterns that can continue into the next sheet to create a consistent appearance among the entire wall. Porcelain also features through timeless marble-look splashbacks, along with benchtops and European-oak flooring in a warm oak underfoot. A large kitchen island with a white countertop and a wooden part seems very contrasting.

This chic bedroom is designed to be a calming yet functional environment thanks to its modest design and large storage capacity. The colour palette of dark vs nature-inspired hues continues, with dark floor-to-ceiling wardrobe space with clean, handleless doors in timber veneer. The generous wardrobe space sits behind the bedhead that can act as a half-height room divider to separate the dressing and sleeping zones.

The bathroom exudes tranquillity with its light, neutral tones. A timeless subway style porcelain tile wall sits behind a T-shaped vanity crafted from a luxury marble-look benchtop that floats above natural-timber veneer open-shelf storage. A large decorative mirror is surrounded by gold lighting fixtures. This rectangle mirror is framed in brushed brass along with the tapware and the floor-mounted bath filler. A coveted freestanding bath sits atop larger sized floor tiles in light grey tones designed to mimic the veining of natural stone.
